Description

The KN Series melt pressure transmitters are engineered for high-temperature processes, withstanding temperatures up to 538 °C (1000 °F), suitable for applications like high-temperature engineered polymers. They utilize standard melt pressure principles, with a near-incompressible NaK (Sodium-Potassium) alloy to transmit pressure reliably. Strain sensing is accomplished using a bonded foil strain gauge.
Pressure Ranges: 0–35 ato, 0–1000 bar / 0–500 to 0–150,000 psi
Accuracy: < ±0.25% FSO (High), < ±0.5% FSO (Medium)
Hydraulic Transmission: Maintains stable pressure signals at working temperatures; NaK is RoHS compliant and recognized as a safe (GRAS) substance.
NaK Volume per Model: KN0 – 30 mm³ (0.00183 in³), KN1/KN2/KN3 – 40 mm³ (0.00244 in³)
Connections: Standard ½–20 UNF or M18x1.5; other options available on request
Functions: Autozero (onboard/external), Stem Drift Autocompensation (SP version)
