Description
The K3 Series pressure sensors are designed for use in high-temperature environments where process conditions can reach up to 538 °C (1000 °F),
making them ideal for applications involving advanced engineered polymers.
Based on standard melt pressure principles, the K Series features bonded foil strain gage sensing technology and utilizes a near-incompressible
Sodium Potassium (NaK) fluid for pressure transmission.
NaK is an FDA-recognized safe (GRAS) substance.
Applications:
Applications:
- Suitable for mercury-free, food, and medical processes compliant with FDA approval
- Ideal for processing special polymers and technopolymers at high temperatures (up to 538 °C / 1000 °F)
- Pressure range options: 0–35 to 0–1000 bar / 0–500 to 0–15000 psi
- Accuracy: ±0.25% FSO (High precision) or ±0.5% FSO (Medium precision)
- Hydraulic NaK transmission ensures stable pressure signals under high-temperature conditions. The NaK fluid complies with RoHS standards and is recognized as a safe material (GRAS).
- NaK quantity per model: K30 Series – 30 mm³ (0.00183 in³); K31, K32, K33 Series – 40 mm³ (0.00244 in³)
- Standard connection threads: 1/2-20 UNF and M18×1.5; other configurations available upon request
- Inconel 718 diaphragm with GTP coating for operation up to 538 °C (1000 °F)
- 15-5 PH stainless steel diaphragm with GTP coating for applications up to 400 °C (750 °F)
- Hastelloy C276 diaphragm suitable for use up to 300 °C (570 °F)
- 17-7 PH corrugated diaphragm with GTP coating recommended for ranges below 100 bar / 1500 psi
