Description

The MF Series Explosionproof Melt Pressure Transmitter houses the amplifier and sensor assembly in a stainless steel welded enclosure with a conduit cable fitting. This fully sealed metal enclosure meets hazardous area requirements. The transmitter converts applied pressure at the measurement point into a proportional voltage signal, which the amplifier then converts to a 4–20 mA output. A small capillary tube filled with a special medium isolates the amplifier from potential thermal damage.
  • Factory Mutual approved Explosionproof: Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, D; Dust-Ignitionproof: Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, G
  • Other certifications: CE, NEMA 4 / IP65
  • High-level 2-wire 4–20 mA output
  • Accuracy: < ±0.25% FSO (High), < ±0.5% FSO (Medium)
  • Internally generated 80% FSO calibration signal (R-Cal)
  • Standard threads: ½–20 UNF; M18 × 1.5 available on request
  • Fluid-filled system ensures stability across temperature variations
  • 15-5 PH stainless steel diaphragm with Armoloy coating (standard; other types available on request)
  • 17-7 PH corrugated diaphragm with TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating for ranges below 100 bar / 1500 psi
