The GFX4-MOD module can be installed inside GFX4 or GFXTERMO4 products to expand communication via the Modbus RTU protocol. The module has two communication channels:

• First channel: Serial port with Modbus RTU protocol. Connects up to 32 GFX4/GFXTERMO4 devices (without repeater).
• Second channel: Serial port with Modbus RTU slave protocol. Connects to a Modbus RTU Master. The node address is set via two rotary switches (0…99) on the host device. The Master recognizes the slave node as the GFX4/GFXTERMO4 device containing the module plus any devices connected to the Modbus serial port.

The expansion module can be installed either when ordering the products or retrofitted later.
