The GFX4-ETH module can be installed inside GFX4 or GFXTERMO4 products to expand communication via the Modbus/TCP protocol. The module has two communication channels:

• First channel: Serial port with Modbus RTU protocol, connecting up to 4 GFX4/GFXTERMO4 devices (including the host module) for a total of 16 controlled zones (4x4).
• Second channel: Ethernet port with Modbus/TCP slave protocol for connection to a Modbus/TCP Master. The node address is assigned via two rotary switches (1…99) on the host device or via software. The Master recognizes the slave node as the host module plus any devices connected to the Modbus serial port.

The module can be installed either at the time of ordering or retrofitted later.
DIP-switch functions:

• DIP-switch 1: ON = reset communication parameters of GFX-ETH board
• DIP-switch 2: Select baud rate — OFF = 100 Mbit/s (default), ON = 10 Mbit/s
