Description

1600 Controllers

The 1600 series microprocessor controllers are available in 48x48 mm or 96x96 mm formats (1/8 DIN - 1/4 DIN) and are manufactured using SMT technology.
These instruments provide a full operator interface protected by a Lexan membrane, offering IP65-rated faceplate protection.
They feature 4 front panel keys, two 4-digit green LED displays, 4 red LEDs for logic or relay output status, and 3 additional programmable LEDs for indicating operational states.
The universal main input accommodates various sensor types: thermocouples (J, K, R, S, T, B, E, N, Ni-Ni18Mo, L), 3-wire Pt100 resistance thermometers, PTC thermistors, linear signals (0–50 mV, 10–50 mV, 2–10 V, 0–10 V, 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA), and potentiometers. Faceplate keys allow custom linearization without external adapters.
An isolated auxiliary analog input can be configured for linear signals, remote setpoint, potentiometer, or current transformer, supporting custom linearization.
Two isolated digital inputs can be programmed for selecting up to 4 local setpoints, controlling timers, Auto/Manual, Local/Remote switching, alarm memory reset, or input hold.
The controller supports up to 4 outputs (relay 3A/250V or logic 12 Vdc/20 mA) and up to 2 isolated analog outputs in voltage or current. All outputs are configurable via the faceplate for functions such as control, alarms, timers, digital input repetition, process value retransmission, setpoints, deviations, or values from digital communication.
Heat/Cool functionality allows adjustment of cooling parameters according to the type of fluid (water, oil, or air). An additional isolated output (10 or 24 Vdc, 30 mA max) powers external transmitters or potentiometers.
RS485 (RS232C compatible) communication enables remote reading, parameter modification, and online control, supporting MODBUS RTU and CENCAL (Gefran) protocols.
Programming is simplified through parameter grouping in function blocks (CFG, Inp, Out, etc.) and a streamlined menu for commonly used settings.
A PC programming kit is available, including a Windows-based configuration program and connection cable (see data sheet cod. 80021).
