Description
1800V Controllers for motorized valves
The 1800V microprocessor controller is designed for three-step motorized valves and is available in 48x96 mm or 96x96 mm formats (1/8 DIN - 1/4 DIN).
Built with SMT technology, it provides a full-featured operator interface protected by a Lexan membrane, offering IP65 faceplate protection.
The controller features 4 front panel keys, two 4-digit green LED displays, 4 red LEDs for logic or relay outputs, and 3 additional programmable LEDs for operational status. A 10-LED red bargraph can show analog outputs for control, inputs, deviations, or valve positions.
Its universal main input accepts multiple sensors, including thermocouples, resistance thermometers, thermistors, linear signals, and potentiometers, all with customizable linearization via the faceplate. No external shunts or adapters are necessary.
Input correction can be applied through a linear function defined by two points. A second isolated auxiliary analog input can be configured for linear signals or potentiometer feedback for valve positioning.
Two isolated digital inputs can be programmed for up to 4 local setpoints, timer start/stop/reset, Auto/Manual, Local/Remote functions, alarm memory reset, or input hold.
The controller supports up to 4 outputs (relays 3A/250V or logic 12Vdc/20mA), with 2 dedicated to valve open/close operations, and up to 2 isolated analog outputs in voltage or current. Output functions are fully configurable from the keypad, including valve control, alarms, timer-controlled outputs, digital input repetition, process value retransmission, setpoint, deviation, alarm setpoint, or value from digital communication.
An additional isolated output (10 or 24 Vdc, 30 mA max) is available to power external transmitters or potentiometers.
RS485 (RS232C compatible) serial communication allows remote reading, parameter modification, and online operation (local/remote manual/automatic switching, internal timer control, direct output control). Protocols supported include MODBUS RTU and CENCAL (Gefran).
Valve-specific parameters include actuator stroke time, minimum pulse duration, impulse intervention threshold, and dead zone. Control can be configured with or without potentiometer feedback, using PD or PID algorithms.
Programming is simplified via function blocks (CFG for control, Inp for inputs, Out for outputs, etc.) and a simplified menu for frequently used parameters. The display automatically hides non-relevant parameters based on hardware configuration.
A PC programming kit is available, including a menu-driven configuration software for Windows and the connection cable (see data sheet cod. 80021).
