Description

2500 High Performance Controller

The 2500 is a single-loop microprocessor controller in 96×96 mm (1/4 DIN) format, ideal for processes with high variation speed. Its extended functions and configurable hardware/software provide high flexibility for systems monitoring and controlling pressure, force, temperature, and differential pressure, with up to 4 measurable variables.
It features two main analog inputs (configurable for strain gauge, potentiometer, linear signal, thermocouple, or RTD; one optional) and two auxiliary analog inputs for linear signals (e.g., remote setpoint, line speed reference). Two isolated analog outputs (one optional) are available for control.
The operator interface has IP54 protection (IP65 with protective cover) and includes a 6-key soft-touch keypad, triple 5-digit display (one 2-color), and two bar graphs with configurable functions. Controls and commands can be operated from the front panel or via four digital inputs, assignable to functions such as reset, calibration, manual/auto, local/remote, hold, raise/lower (motopotentiometer), parameter set selection, or setpoint selection.
Four relay outputs are configurable as standard. Extended options include isolated analog outputs (process, peak, remote set, deviation, alarm setpoint, differential values), 4 I/O expansion, Modbus RTU communication, and Profibus DP slave interface.
Controller Functions: Self-adapting PI control, double-action PID (heat/cool), ratio control, differential pressure control, self-tuning, continuous or one-shot autotuning, auto/manual, local/remote, setpoint gradient, power gradient, dynamic power limits. 8 sets of selectable PID parameters can be assigned by setpoint level, PV, deviation, or digital input.
Alarms: Four fully configurable alarm setpoints with selectable failsafe function.
Math Functions: Define two distinct math relations between analog inputs; results can be used as setpoints, alarm setpoints, control outputs, etc.
Digital Communication: Optional RS485 2/4 wire or RS232 serial interface with MODBUS RTU protocol for full parameter access.
Configuration: Menu-guided programming with multiple configuration levels for quick and easy access to all data.
