Description

40T96 Temperature Indicator – Configurable Input / Alarm Unit

Microprocessor-based indicator in 96x48 mm (1/8 DIN) format, manufactured using SMT.
The instrument has a Lexan membrane faceplate (IP65) with 3 keys, a 3–4 digit display, and 3 LED indicators for output statuses.
The input signal can be selected from a wide range of sensors:
  • Thermocouples: J, K, R, S, T, B, E, N, L GOST, U, G, D, C
  • Resistance thermometers: Pt100, Pt100J (Japanese standard), 2 / 3 wire
  • PTC and NTC thermistors
  • Linear inputs: 0–60 / 12–60 mV, 0–20 / 4–20 mA, 0–10 / 2–10, 0–5 / 1–5, 0–1 / 0, 2–1 V
Selection is made using the faceplate keys.
The instrument is available in a base version (2 relay outputs) or an expandable version.
Maximum of 4 outputs: mechanical relays (5A, 250Vac / 30Vdc, cos φ = 1) or logic outputs (0–11Vdc).
A digital input (24Vdc/5mA) is available for resetting, hold, flash, peak handling, or releasing latch.
One output of 0–10V or 0/4–20 mA (max. 500 Ω) is available for retransmitting the measured input signal.
Retransmission output, digital input, and third output are available simultaneously.
Serial communication (RS485 standard) allows connection to PLCs or supervision systems using GEFRAN CENCAL or MODBUS RTU protocols.
A triac can be fitted (as an alternative to output 1) to drive resistive loads up to 1A at 240V.
Programming is simplified using function blocks (CFG for alarm hysteresis, Inp for inputs, Out for outputs) and a simplified data entry menu.
Configuration can be further simplified using the PC programming kit (connection cable + Windows menu guide, see data sheet WINSTRUM).
A configurable personal software protection code (password protection) can restrict editing and display of configuration parameters.
